National Garlic Day

Grown in Potter County
The Garlic Harvest

April 19th is National Garlic Day. It is not a well known holiday, except for a few of us garlic growers. National Garlic Day promotes the many uses of Garlic. And, there certainly are many uses. It’s a vegetable. Its’ a herb. It is used in recipes around the world.

To celebrate this wonderful day, we thought to share our favorite You Tube – Garlic Man.  “Farmer and gardener Bob Anderson grows a little crop with a big flavor.”

Do what you love to do… Garlic Man

Cycle of Seasons

Garlic man with a summer tan,

In fall, plants the cloves by hand.

 Over winter, his plantings sleep.

Come spring, the roots grow deep,

Until summer’s harvest is in barn to keep.
